Problems and prospects of export of wood sheet materials

The article is devoted to the statistical assessment of the plywood and veneer market against the background of increased protective duties in individual countries and sanctions imposed on the Russian forestry sector. The choice of research topics is because traditionally certain types of sheet materials were sent to the markets of the European Union and the USA, which are now closed to Russian manufacturers. This led to a significant reduction in production and profits of enterprises. The article analyzes the dynamics of production and export of plywood and veneer in Russia. A cluster analysis of the world plywood and veneer market has been carried out. The main consumer countries of Russian products, as well as promising geographical directions for the development of trade, are noted. The article also touches upon the problem of consumption of products in the domestic market.
