Problems and prospects for comprehensive development of the Northern Sea Route

The article looks at the main current problems and prospects for the development of the Northern Sea Route by the Russian Federation as the main sea transport route in the Arctic region. The analysis of Russian and foreign sources makes it possible to assess the factors complicating the development of the Northern Sea Route in comparison with other routes for goods transportation between Europe and Asia, as well as to determine the directions for the further development of the Arctic route. This issue is multifaceted and requires an integrated approach to the development of the Northern Sea Route as an important transport channel for the development of the Russian Arctic.
