Problems and prospects of the logistics of food security in the Republic of Crimea

The article deals with the issues of quality, technical level, reliability, and agricultural equipment service as a factor in ensuring food security in the region. Based on the statistical data, the paper analyzed the current development of the agrarian sector in the Republic of Crimea; in particular, it examined the availability of agricultural equipment in the period from 1991 to 2015, as well as investigated the power consumption of agriculture on the territory under review from 1996 to 2015. Considering this analysis, the author formulated the economic principles of market regulation of economic entities and equipment and services producers as the basis for the formation of effective logistic system of agricultural production. Moreover, the author proposed four models for the formation of the logistic resources market in the region.
