Problems and prospects for increasing the competitiveness of the regional agricultural industry

One of the main conditions for the stable functioning of the agro-industrial complex of the Republic of Bashkortostan is its competitiveness, as well as its industries and enterprises, the creation of favorable conditions for their effective functioning. And for this, it becomes necessary to adopt a strategy for the development of the agro-industrial complex of the region on the basis of modernization, which would become a key factor in positive changes in the economic system of the agrarian sector, transfer of its economic entities to a high-tech industrial basis with progressive principles and methods of management. The study revealed that the reason for the low rate of investment in the modernization of agricultural enterprises in the region was some contradictions, the solution of which requires the development of specific approaches for the strategy of modernization of the agro-industrial complex, based on state support of agricultural enterprises of all forms of ownership.
