Problems and prospects of IT-technologies application in the AIC industry

Within the framework of this article, the author assesses the current situation with the implementation of IT technologies in the production processes of all branches of the agricultural sector of the economy. The problems and prospects of digitalization of the agrarian sector of modern Russia are considered. A brief description of the Digital Agriculture project is provided. The necessary directions for the implementation of the project are described, as well as a step-by-step plan for the implementation of IT-technologies at the enterprises of the agricultural industry. A brief overview of the Federal IT Forum "Smart Agro: Digital Transformation in Agriculture" in 2021 is given. Significant reasons are identified that, according to experts, are holding back the pace of digitalization of agricultural enterprises at the moment and, thereby, are the prospects and vectors of development. Joint and well-coordinated work of the state, enterprises and educational institutions will accelerate digitalization and improve the quality of IT technologies in the agricultural sector.
