Problems and prospects of development of the state policy of import substitution in Russia

In the present study the policy of import substitution in Russia was analyzed, was revealed the results of its implementation. We identified a number of obstacles to the effective import substitution, as well as the ways to overcome the problems. Analysis has shown that it is necessary to invest in industrial production, to develop domestic technology and train highly qualified personnel to work in the factories. To sum it all up the sanctions barriers prevent the import substitution policy, as Russian products must compete with imports in the world markets, in which case it would be better and more competitive.
