Problems and prospects of small business development in the Russian Federation

The relevance of the topic of the article is due to the fact that in the current conditions of the development of the national economy, the activities of small and large enterprises are the most important link in the total national economy. It is important for the state to develop and support various industries and small businesses in order to stimulate their development. Small enterprises, by means of carrying out their financial and economic activities, are called upon to solve various socio-economic problems, create various projects that are aimed at improving the life of society. The essence of the study was a comprehensive description of small business in the Russian Federation. The main results of the article are that the author identifies the factors influencing the formation and development of entrepreneurship; the classification features of small enterprises are detailed; forms of support for small business are presented; the difficulties that entrepreneurship is experiencing are characterized and a mechanism for supporting small and medium-sized businesses in the Russian Federation is determined.
