Problems and prospects of development of the distributed generation in the Russian Federation

Annotation The article presents a review and analysis of the problems and prospects of development of energy systems of distributed generation in the Russian Federation. The prospects and scale of introduction of distributed generation systems are presented, and an attempt to assess the potential of distributed energy in order to respond to the challenge of the Russian power industry in the next 10 years is made.
