Problems and prospects for the development of retail chains in Russia

The relevance of the studied problem is due to the fact that retail chains play an important economic and social role in society, since they provide the population and enterprises with the necessary goods at affordable prices, provide jobs, pay taxes, contribute to the development of the infrastructure of settlements, and introduce technological innovations in the retail sector. Network trading enterprises are able to bring many benefits to society, in this regard, it is necessary to study the existing problems of retail retail chains in Russia and the directions of their development. The purpose of this study is to study the main trends in the development of retail chains in Russia. The subject of the study is retail. The subject of the study is retail chains. The study analyzed the indicators characterizing the development of retail retail chains in the Russian Federation in 2019-2021. The economic and statistical method of the study is based on the indicators of the Federal State Statistics Service, the information portals Geomatrix Predictive Analytics, Retail, Bcs-express. Practical significance: the materials of the article are of practical value for the development of retail retail chains in the Russian Federation.
