Problems and prospects of development of rural areas in Russia

The present study is very important from a theoretical and practical point of view, the problems of development of rural territories of the Russian Federation. In article on the basis of the evidence it is proved that modern development of rural territories of Russia can not be considered stable, which is not in the national interest of the country because it does not provide a decent standard and quality of life of the rural population does not contribute to the formation of territorial self-developing and distinctive socio-ecological-economic territorial systems, preservation of cultural values, to ensure reproduction and sustainable use of natural resources, food security of the country, which in turn requires immediate radical changes in the policy of development of rural territories of the Russian Federation with the aim of increasing their sustainability.
