The article is of a research nature and is devoted to the analysis of the prospects for introducing digital twins into the road economy of the Krasnodar Territory as a tool to increase the efficiency of management. The purpose of the study is to develop recommendations for the introduction of digital twins in the road construction of the Krasnodar Territory based on the analysis of current indicators and identified barriers. As materials for the analysis of the study of the state of the road economy of the Krasnodar Territory, as well as the study of the problems and prospects for the introduction of digital twins, regulatory documents regulating the field of financial accounting, scientific publications of Russian authors, accounting (financial) statements, data from a single information and statistical system were used. Comparative and financial analysis methods were used. The results of the study made it possible to justify the need to introduce digital twins - virtual models that integrate IoT, GLONASS and artificial intelligence data to optimize the life cycle of road objects. Successful cases demonstrate the advantages of technology: increasing the throughput of intersections, reducing maintenance costs, predicting infrastructure wear. Barriers to implementation in the Krasnodar Territory were noted: high initial investments, a shortage of qualified personnel, fragmentation of data. The article emphasizes that the introduction of digital twins can transform the road industry of the region, ensuring the sustainable development of the transport network and improving road safety.
