Problems and ways of improvement of legal regulation of research activities of students in the educational organizations of higher education

In the article the author substantiates the role of research activities of students in educational institutions of higher educa- tion as an important scientific sector. Research activities are considered from the position of a key component of the content of education. During the analysis of the Federal Law of 29.12.2012 №273-FL “On education in the Russian Federation” the author substantiates the necessity of integration of educational and research activities. The article reveals the essence of the Federal State Educational Standard and provides a comparative legal analysis of the content of standards in several areas of education in terms of requirements for research activities of students. The author comes to the conclusion that educational standards designed to ensure the unification of requirements for research activities of students do not cope with their function in full due to the formulation of different tasks for graduates who have mastered the bachelor's program in a particular field of training. The contributor finds out that the questions of the organization of work of the scientific unit the legislator leaves to the discretion of the educational organization. The result of the study are specific recommendations for improving the legal regulation of research activities of students, which can be qualified as a contribution to the theoretical understanding of the problem of legal regulation of research students in educational institutions of higher education. The results of the study can be used to improve the system, structure and content of Federal legislation on education and science.
