Problems and threats of economic security in the Volgograd region

The article emphasizes the essence and importance of economic security from the perspective of regional representation, emphasizes the links between the security of the Volgograd region and national, information and food security, notes the dependence of stability on the level of the region’s resource base, industrial development efficiency, business sustainability, and the combined influence of external and internal factors. The indicators and the state of the consolidated budget and the balanced financial result of the Volgograd region, the criteria and levels of assessing economic security are analyzed, and scenarios for improving the economic security of the region are proposed.
