Problems of innovative development of the electric power industry

Today, technology is the leading driver of change in the global energy industry. Advances in science and technology make it possible to use energy sources that were not in demand before, change the efficiency of consumed resources, and also set new conditions for inter-fuel type competition. Access to the use of new technological solutions allows companies to make evolutionary breakthroughs that have a positive impact on the country's economy. However, scientific and technological progress does not always succeed in accelerating the development of the industry in view of a number of problems that hinder the development of the technical transformation of the electric power industry. Within the framework of this article, an analysis of the opinions of experts in the field of digitalization of energy companies is carried out and problems are formulated that hinder the innovative development of the electric power industry in Russia.
