The paper considers the main specific features of exploiting measuring equipment in taking stock of nuclear materials, radioactive substances, and radioactive waste. It has been shown that it is necessary to improve the measuring tools so as to raise the levels of measurement automation, computerization of data processing, and measurement quality control.
