Problems of using the PPP mechanism in healthcare

The article examines the strategic goal of healthcare development in the Russian Federation - improving the quality and increasing the availability of medical care. Since the country's budget has been in deficit in recent years, which causes a lack of financial resources that could be used to improve the efficiency of medical services, therefore, in order to optimize expenditures, the state should use the mechanism of public-private partnership. The material and technical base of the country's healthcare system mainly has a significant level of moral and physical deterioration, which determines the further continuation of the process of modernization of the industry. The improvement of facilities is possible due to the introduction and use of innovative, highly technical resources. Public-private partnership represents a number of benefits for both parties. The state is interested in improving the quality of medical services, and the private sector, in turn, has the opportunity to invest profitably and multiply them.
