Oil and gas enterprises are an important, and for some countries the most important part of the mineral resource complex. The activities of these enterprises are associated with a large number of both external and internal risks, which are discussed in some detail in this article. The article examines a specific model of risk management on the example of PJSC “Gazprom”, the largest oil and gas company in Russia. The company is one of the ten largest public companies for the production of liquid hydrocarbons in the world list. A model of the quantitative impact of various risks on the financial and economic activities of PJSC Gazprom is presented. Based on the report on the results of the company’s activities, the existing risks were ranked and summarized in a general table, according to which a two-by-two diagram was built and conclusions were drawn about the significance of the risks. In order to neutralize the negative consequences of various types of risks, PJSC Gazprom has developed an effective Risk Management and Internal Control System (RMS & IC), which makes it possible to timely identify and assess potential events, circumstances, external and internal factors affecting the achievement of the set goals, and respond to them.
