Problems of studying the internal troops of RSFSR-USSR-Russian Federation (1918-2018)

The article considers methodological and historiographic problems of studying the activity of the internal troops during the pre-revolutionary, Soviet and post-Soviet periods of national history. Despite abundance of the literature lighting the activity of law enforcement agencies in the USSR and modern Russia, features of organizational construction, completing, preparation of command and political shots, improvement of management, fighting application of the organizational propagandist, cultural and educational work, strengthening of discipline and legal education in internal troops demand reconsideration and further studying.
