The article is devoted to the analysis of the problems of the modern state of ecological tourism. The situation in the tourist and recreational area of the Volgograd region has been explored and the main factors constraining the development of tourism in the region have been identified, the problems of development of the tourist and recreational economy have been identified and ways of overcoming them have been suggested.
