Problems of ecological safety of water bodies in the tourist and recreational areas of the Karachay-Cherkess Republic and ways to improve their sanitary stability

The work is aimed at identifying and systematizing environmental factors that affect the state of aquatic ecosystems located within the actively developing tourist and recreational areas of the Karachay-Cherkess Republic. Based on official statistical data obtained within the framework of the state environmental control, an assessment of the current state of water bodies is given from the standpoint of their sanitary reliability and resistance to anthropogenic stress. Within the framework of the conducted research, the proposals aimed at minimizing the risks of degradation of the aquatic environment are substantiated.
