Problems of gas pumping assembly cast turbine blade operational reliability

The present paper considers the items connected with providing operational reliability of cast turbine blades installed in stationary gas-pumping assemblies of gas main pipelines. It provides data of GTK-10 assembly full-scale cast blade fatigue strength investigation. It is demonstrated that low level of fatigue strength demonstrated by the cast blades delivered for service operation caused multiple damages and breakdowns of the above-mentioned assemblies. The suggested technical solutions are aimed at providing and improvement of cast turbine blade required reliability and service life. The paper provides the results of performance and fatigue strength investigation as well as the results of GPA successful experimental operation of cast turbine blades that were manufactured basing upon the proposed solutions.
