The problems of Huns' ethnical identity in the works of contemporary Chuvashian scientists

The language of Huns who had threatened the peoples of Asia and Europe, was a matter for scientific debate for the last three centuries. Meanwhile, language is considered as one of the main determinants of people's ethnic origin. N.Ya. Bichurin, the prominent Russian scientist-orientalist has considered that Huns are Mongols. However, N.Ya.Bichurin's fellow countrymen, contemporary Chuvash scientists propose that Huns are of Turkic origins. While discussing it, they use rather doubtful facts.
