Convergence and divergence of labor productivity by type of economic activity in the Russian Federation and Kursk region

The paper studies the ongoing processes of convergence and divergence of labor productivity by type of economic activity in the Russian Federation and the Kursk region. The hypothesis of the study was the assumption that higher productivity of labor, return on invested capital factors is observed in Russia not in the sectors of deep processing, but in the sectors of mining. In the course of the study, conclusions were drawn about the lack of convergence of the labor productivity indicator by industry, which is an obstacle to the development of manufacturing industries, an obstacle to the reorientation of the country's national economy from raw materials to an innovative development model.
