Article reflects problems and the prospects of development of marketing in Russia. The main problems of development of marketing which define importance of effective functioning of any enterprise in the conditions of constantly changing business, social and economic situation in commodity market and services are considered. Need of increase in costs of marketing activity for ensuring competitiveness of the enterprise is proved.
