Problems of Moslem education in the North Caucasus

On the basis of little-known materials the article investigates the problems of Moslem education of the early XXI century in the North Caucasus. It is proven that the region is trying to optimize the system of confessional education, adapt it to the Russian educational system, use contemporary educational information technologies. It is concluded that the modernization and reinforcement of Moslem education initiated with the state support cannot reduce only to the short-term campaign, but must be considered as the most important long-term project.
