Problem and goal. The article analyzes and formulates the problems of teaching migrant students and their social adaptation in the process of education in educational institutions. Among them, the problem of learning due to language and socio-cultural barriers is highlighted. The purpose of the article: to identify and substantiate the problems faced by migrant students and teachers in the process of education in educational institutions. The research methodology consists in the analysis and generalization of research works by foreign and domestic scientists, recognized by the scientific community, and the experience of teaching migrant students. Results. On the basis of activity, competence and context approaches the main problems of teaching and social adaptation of migrant students in the conditions of teaching theoretical disciplines aimed at the formation of intercultural competence of migrant students are formulated. Conclusion. The classification of problems of teaching migrant students and consideration of foreign experience with this category of students will allow to implement the educational module, the curriculum of which will help to prepare future teachers of physics to work with children in a multicultural class, as a result of which the intercultural competence of migrant students will be formed.
