The research timeliness is conditioned by the urgency of geological and economical assessment of ecological damage by the mineral raw production and processing. The intense subsurface use results in the changes of geological environment of mining regions. The research object includes ecological and geological risks, ecological rent and assimilation potential of Western Donbas mining region. The following research methods were used: geoinformation technologies (thematic mapping), ranging, statistical probability method, spatial simulation and also information analysis. The assimilation potential of geological environment was suggested. The zoning of potential dangerous processes in Western Donbas mining region was conducted, and geoinformation database block was created for further monitoring of these processes.
