The concept and classification of the legal fictions

In the article legal fictions are analyzed as means of the juridical technique. They are compared with legal presumptions and legal axioms. Theoretical ideas are illustrated by examples of fictions taken from the modern Russian legislation. According to the author's opinion the legal fictions are one of the general means of the juridical technique which can be used both in the legislative and judicial area.
