The article considers certain aspects of the state's implementation of the rights of a shareholder, which is carried out through its participation in the management of a business company. From this point of view, interaction between the state and business is certainly appropriate and effective, and is primarily aimed at solving social problems and performing a regulatory function in the economy. At the same time, the variety of forms of such interaction creates a number of problems related to the responsibility of state representatives in the management Board (conflict of interests of the state representative when voting; use of the "Golden share" by the state; corporate governance of companies with state participation; state affiliation in transactions of public legal entities). Based on the analysis of economic and legal aspects of the activities of joint-stock companies with state participation, recommendations are given to reduce risks (financial, corruption and other) and improve the efficiency of their functioning.
