The improvement of the education quality is examined through the organization of monitoring of the educational environment psychological safety. Diagnostics of the actual content of the variant part of biological education has been carried out. Directions of modernization within the framework of "Botany" specialization class, oriented onto the forming of the psychologically safe environment of the high school and the preparation of competitive experts, are offered.
