The issues to enhance comfortable living conditions in a big city

The article presents the results of the monitoring of living conditions of the Vologda population. It indicates the main problems affecting comfortable living in different areas of the regional center, analyzes the coverage of social and domestic infrastructure, the quality of transport provision and the population’s satisfaction with housing and public utilities. It assesses the local authorities’ performance in solving these problems. The proposed measures will help monitor the quality of city roads and yards repair, improve the landscaping of yards, adjacent areas and public transport stops, develop social and service infrastructure of the city, create new parking places, solve the problem of traffic jams on city roads and increase the transparency of the Vologda City Duma, efficiency and effectiveness of addressing the citizens’ problems.
