The article is devoted to the analysis of the problems of legal regulation of advertising activities. When analyzing the general provisions, it is immediately noticeable that the achievement of terminological consistency and integrity is not fully implemented in the law. Also, the current legislation does not reflect the global experience in the legal regulation of advertising relations. The issues of interpretation of the norms of advertising implemented by public authorities, social advertising, advertising in electronic media and the Internet are considered.
