This article discusses some of the problems of the practice of forced sampling for comparative research during the detection and investigation of crimes. The experience of foreign countries, their regulatory framework regulating the issues of forced sampling is considered. The ways of increasing the efficiency of this activity are proposed. It is pointed out that it is necessary to amend the legislation of the Russian Federation to resolve the issue of compulsory blood sampling from persons subject to mandatory genomic registration.
