The article reveals the problem of differentiation of jurisdiction of cases between the Soviet judicial institutions of Chelyabinsk Province in the early 1920s. The Province Department of Justice clearly defined the jurisdiction of the Revolutionary Tribunal, of the People’s Courts and of the Special Court at the Cheka. Traced the evolution of this issue which was considered at Party Congresses and sessions of the local law enforcement departments during the analyzed period of time.
