Problems of civil defense of the Russian Federation

Briefly reviewed the stages of formation and development of civil defense, which was originally designed to protect people and objects in time of war. Considered periods of growth opportunities of the country to protect the population in time of war and the reasons for the weakening of attention to civil defense. The substantiation of the importance and timeliness of the creation and development of the unified system of civil defense of population and territories of the Russian Federation in peacetime from emergencies. The necessity to refocus the efforts of a unified system of civil defense and emergency management for the development of Defense of the Russian Federation - the national system of protection of population and country in wartime.
