Problems of implementing ESG-stories at the regional and local level

Regions and cities are active participants in the story of sustainable development, taking into account ESG factors. The paper presents the results of a review of the development of the concept of sustainable development based on ESG factors at the international and national level. The article substantiates the relevance of developing an ESG strategy at the regional and local levels, taking into account the achievement of a balance between environmental, social and managerial components of development. It is proved that one of the main conditions for the effectiveness of the ESG strategy is the application of the principle of coordinating the interests of authorities and stakeholders. The composition of key tasks for the development of regional and municipal strategies is proposed, in the solution of which the participation of stakeholders is in demand, the tools that ensure it are identified.
