Problems of regional inequality in Russia

The article is a study the problems of uneven regional development in Russia in the context of the phenomena of peripheralisation. The features of research approaches to the center and periphery at the mega-, macro- and meso-levels are considered; to the study of private and complex characteristics of uneven regional development. The expediency of the analysis of non-uniformity is substantiated using indicators reflecting the current situation and indicators reflecting the prospects for ensuring the economic security of the regions
