Problems of rating assignment of securitization transactions

The article is concerned with rating assignment of the securities issued as a result of assets securitization. The objective of the article is to study the limitations, determined by processes of rating misappropriation, and to define the main guidelines aimed to improve adequacy and objectivity of the rating assignment. The article carries out a research of theoretic bases of the securities ratings and defines stages of the rating assignment. The research results may be implemented by the corporation managers and controlling authorities. The author emphasizes the need for a detailed study of the securitization risks.
