Problems of a labor market in single-industry cities under the conditions of economic crisis

The article presents a research of objective prerequisites for social problems of a single-industry city, as well as specific consequences affected by global economic crisis. The authors distinguish factors slowing economic growth in the single-industry cities and specify premises for implementation the potential these cities possess. The paper considers various means of state support for single-industry cities depending on a situation and problem type; in particular a possible solution for a single-industry city problem by developing city agglomerations is emphasized.
