Problems of balanced socio-economic development of the regions of Russia

Бесплатный доступ

The economic stability and competitiveness of the state are inextricably linked with the uniform development of all regions. Many factors such as location, resources, infrastructure, population, climate and other aspects play a key role in the development of regions. Currently in Russia there are problems caused by imbalances in the development of the economic, social and environmental subsystems of the regions. The main elements of balanced development closely interact as parts of a complex system and mutually influence each other. Imbalances lead to a decrease in the stability of the territorial economies in relation to negative external influences, an increase in public discontent, and therefore an important task for modern Russia is to improve the mechanisms and increase the efficiency of public administration, aimed at achieving sustainable and balanced socio-economic progress, reducing differences in development of regional subsystems.
