Problems of the youth sociocultural socialization in the North Caucasus federal district

Socialization as a sociocultural process ensures the sociocultural identification of individuals as an acceptance of their belonging to large social groups (confessional, ethnic, civil), the main characteristics of which are values, rules, patterns of behavior that have evolved over a long history of the collaborative activity. The problem of the youth sociocultural socialization is extremely urgent for the North Caucasus. The sociocultural space of this region is defined by polyethnicity, polyconfessionality, multiculturalism, multifacetedness which are constantly undermined and manifested. The paper analyzes the data of the regional sociological studies that describe the issues of the youth sociocultural socialization in the North Caucasus Federal District. Stable and effective development of the North Caucasus requires priority civic identity of the population of the region. At present, the ambivalence of civic, ethnic and confessional identities indicates the risk of conflict self-identification of young people and their hypersocialization.
