The article analyzes the cultural processes taking place in the environment of Russian-speaking youth in Turkmenistan. Basing on a pilot study, the authors make the preliminary analysis of the views of Russian-speaking youth, socialized in the post-Soviet period in the nation-state, about the possibility of maintaining their cultural identity. The study found out that the Russian-speaking youth is characterized by general passivity in defending their own interests and lobbying interests of the Russian state in the countries of their residence. At the same time, Russian-speaking young people can hide their origin or cultural, social and political views.
