Problems of preservation of historical and cultural heritage Altai and using in tourism (experience in the "Biryuzovaya Katun")

The special economic zone, organized as a tourist-recreational complex, called «Biryuzovaya Katun», is the dynamic and largest investment project in the Altai region. It has set up since 2002 and included sixteen archaeological objects. The several new items was found in 2007–2012 in the upper and mouth of Ust-Uba (Ustyuba) river and on the border of tourist-recreational complex «Biryuzovaya Katun» and gambling zone «Siberian Coin». It were the Turkic runic inscriptions (IX–XI centuries), the burial mounds of the Scythian-Saka time called «Lower Kayancha» and the burhanisky altar early which was dated to the early XX century. The archaeological park called «Crossroads of the Worlds» was established on the territory of the tourist-recreational complex «Biryuzovaya Katun». It was divided into four sections: outdoor origin objects preserved by specially museums methods; reconstructions of the specialists in the experimental archaeology; the exhibitions of the Altai ancient and medieval history; the excavations, prepared for showing. The problem of the salvage and protection of the cultural heritage is characterized as a complex challenge. It concerns to only financial situation, but also depends upon politics, law, morality and political will to preserve, study the invaluable cultural heritage and pass on to future generations.
