Problems of preservation of social and cultural identity of regions in the conditions of globalization

The article deals with the problem of identity preservation. The author's understanding of identity as a certain stability of sociocultural, civilizational, national and individual characteristics and their identity is given. It is proved that in the era of globalization, the problem of identity implies, first of all, personal identity, that is, the formation of stable ideas in a person about himself / herself as a member of society, as well as cultural identity, generating a sense of identity among the people, giving him / her the opportunity to find his / her place in the interethnic space.
