Pandemic construction industry problems

The scientific article is related to the disclosure of urgent problems faced by the construction industry with the onset of the pandemic. Participants in construction transactions faced acute problems, including a lack of demand for civil construction and restrictions on the movement of citizens. The risks that were inherent in this industry were aggravated by the current pandemic situation in the world and in Russia. Many construction companies did not pass these tests and closed the company. The article analyzes the index of changes in the availability of small-scale mechanization tools used in construction. The share of construction organizations unsecured with construction machines and mechanisms in the total number of construction organizations was revealed. The object of research is the construction industry of the Volga Federal District of the Russian Federation. The subject of the research is the common problems faced by organizations carrying out industrial and civil construction in the pandemic. The purpose of the study is to solve the problems of construction companies that arose in connection with the onset of quarantine measures by international and domestic health organizations and the Government of the Russian Federation. Methods of scientific knowledge of research materials: analysis, synthesis, deduction and others. The author connects the research prospects with making forecasts for the restoration of the full work of the construction industry and its further development.
