Problems of customs administration in Russia and ways of their solution

The article considers the current state, main problems and prospects of customs administration in Russia. In modern customs administration in Russia, despite the efforts made by the state remains unresolved problems. These include: long terms of cargo clearance, complexity of procedures, a large number of submitted documents and information increase business costs. Lack of coordination of actions between customs and tax services allows participants of foreign economic activity to use a variety of schemes to evade customs payments. The measures taken by the state do not always give a positive result aimed at improving customs administration. Basic technologies and business processes remain, and hence the main problems. Based on the study, the article presents proposals for optimizing the key stages of customs administration, which will improve the efficiency of customs control and collection of customs payments by simultaneously simplifying, accelerating and reducing the cost of administrative procedures.
