The article discusses the problems and features of the fuel and energy complex of the Republic of Bashkortostan. Anticipated reasons for the problems that have arisen, partially suggested ways to solve them. The importance of the role of the fuel and energy complex for the economy of the considered region and the country as a whole is substantiated.
