Problems of traditional economic activity of the indigenous peoples of the north of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). Ways to solve them

Climate change in the Arctic threatens to dramatically change the Earth's climate as a whole. For humans, this will mean that residents of the Arctic regions will be forced to change the traditional type of activity: pastures will change, hunting areas will change, there will be less game catch, swamps will dry out in some places and appear in others. The article deals with the traditional sectors of the Northern economy in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). The regional normative documents devoted to traditional branches of the North are studied, the current state of the branch of reindeer husbandry, hunting and fishing in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) is considered, the main problems are revealed and the main directions of their improvement are offered. Methods of comparative analysis, statistical analysis, analysis of the regulatory framework were used to solve the tasks. The main purpose of the study is to study the traditional sectors of the Northern economy in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), set the main priorities and development trends. The novelty of the study is to develop a set of organizational and economic recommendations aimed at creating conditions for the transition to sustainable development of traditional industries in the country.
