Introduction: the article is devoted to the study of the effectiveness of criminal legal impact related to the protection of public relations arising from violations of the rules of protection and use of mineral resources. Literature Review: the works have been studied E.A. Galinovskaya, S.I. Golubeva, N.V. Kichigin, A.A. Kuleshova, T.A. Yakovleva and other scientists devoted to the legal regulation of subsurface use, including criminal liability for violations of the rules of protection and use of subsurface resources.
