Problems of sustainable development of economic systems (on the example of Yamal-Nenets autonomous okrug)

This article analyzes the eco-socio-economic development of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug (YNAO) in recent years based on the indicators of the concept of sustainable development. Taking into account its pronounced resource specialization, the necessity of a systematic approach to solving the problems of sustainable development is shown. The authors have considered the key indicators of sustainable development of the YNAO within the framework of economy, ecology, social sphere and, based on the results of their analysis in time and space, revealed general regularities and trends of development of the eco-socio-economic system functioning at the meso-level. As a result of the study, the authors have identified specific problems that hinder sustainable development, which is necessary to mitigate and overcome them. The article proposes a number of measures aimed at improving the sustainability of the YNAO development. It shows the need for an active role, primarily of the state, but also of business and society in these processes.
